Meet Michelle

Michelle Cleary (she/her) is a licensed psychotherapist who is trained in EMDR, holds a certificate in Somatic Experiencing™ (SE), assists at SE trainings throughout the year, and, is a former adjunct professor for SUNY Stony Brook, School of Social Welfare. Michelle maintains a full time private practice that focuses on treating trauma and eating disorders.

She is dedicated to discovering, understanding, and teaching others the way our nervous system and brain-body development contributes to our moods, behaviors, relationships, mental health, and productivity.

Somatic Experiencing Students

Somatic Experiencing Students who wish to schedule Personal Education Sessions (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced level) or Beginner level Case Consultation, please use the link below to request an appointment in person or virtual.

If you are looking for case consultation but are Intermediate or Advanced level, you can request an appointment but the sessions will not count toward your SEP.

Please do not request more 4 than sessions at a time. The requested time must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Sessions and consultations are $200.

Private Practice

Michelle sees clients in-person at her Brooklyn office and via Telehealth. She utilizes Somatic Experiencing, SE Touch, and EMDR. Her practice is currently full; however, if you are interested in being added to her waiting list, please fill out the form below. When an opening becomes available, Michelle will reach out to you via email to schedule a 30-minute free consultation.
